The Kyoku Kitchen Knife Set with Block Shogun Series, Samurai Series, Daimyo Series, and Shogun Gin Series offers a variety of knife sets for different cooking needs. The 7" Nakiri knife is made with 67-layered stainless Damascus steel, making it the ultimate vegetable knife. It is ideal for slicing, chopping, mincing, and more, with a herringbone pattern on the base of the tang that showcases stunning craftsmanship.
The Kyoku Shogun Series is made of cryogenically-hardened VG-10 steel wrapped between Damascus steel folded 33 times. It retains its ultrafine edge and resists corrosion to outlast the competition. Each blade is cryogenically treated using the traditional 3-step Honbazuke method for incredible hardness, flexibility, and corrosion resistance, with a hollow-edge design to prevent sticking.
Time-honored sword making methods result in a thinner, harder, and sharper blade than Western knives, providing an unparalleled cooking experience. The knife features a hammer-beaten wave pattern and a mosaic-pin handle, giving it a luxurious appearance, and full-tang construction for comfortable handling and balanced performance.
The knife series contains various options such as the 3.5" VG10 Paring Knife, 6" VG10 Utility Chef Knife, 7" VG10 Boning Knife, 7" VG10 Vegetable Cleaver, 8" VG10 Hammered Chef Knife, and 8.5" VG10 Kiritsuke Knife.
The knives come with a lifetime warranty and free exchange or return if the item is defective. The 7" Nakiri knife, in particular, is made with cobalt-added, and cryogenically treated VG-10 Japanese Damascus steel at HRC 58-60 hardness, ensuring unrivaled performance and incredible edge retention. The straight blade design ensures ease of slicing and chopping, while the triple-riveted G10 handle is impervious to heat, cold, and moisture. The ruthlessly sharp edge is handcrafted to a mirror polish at 8-12° double-sided using the traditional 3-step Honbazuke method; cryogenically treated for incredible hardness, flexibility, and corrosion resistance.
