Previous page NEW RELEASE - Visit the Store After the decline of the samurai in 1868, Japanese swordsmiths began applying their skills to cutlery, resulting in unprecedented innovation. Kyoku draws inspiration from the honor and integrity of these master bladesmiths. Our mission is to make high-end Japanese cutlery affordable for professional chefs and home cooks worldwide. We are driven by a passion for culinary creativity, always striving to stay at the forefront of handcrafted cutlery.
Next page Product Description Nakiri bōchō knives are Japanese-style vegetable knives that combine the features of a chef's knife with the versatility of a vegetable cleaver. What sets them apart from other knives is their flat profiles and squared-off tips. This design makes them ideal for push cutting and chopping, but less suitable for rock cutting.
KYOKU's Nakiri vegetable knives have thin, wide blades that produce very fine and even cuts. They feature a hollow edge blade, which reduces drag while cutting.
Cryogenically Treated for Superior Strength This knife undergoes cryogenic treatment using the traditional 3-step Honbazuke method to achieve incredible hardness, flexibility, and corrosion resistance.
Superior Design Following traditional sword-making practices, Kyoku creates practical knives with unique, stunning, and functional textures.
A Knife for Life With various uses and impressive edge retention, Kyoku knives are perfect for professional chefs and cooking enthusiasts alike.
Hollow Edge Design The ruthlessly sharp edge is handcrafted by seasoned artisans to achieve a mirror-polish finish. The knife is painstakingly manufactured to offer exceptional hardness, flexibility, and corrosion resistance.
Comfortable & Durable Handle The dense Pakkawood handle provides an ergonomic grip and ensures long-lasting durability. Additionally, it is adorned with an elegant mosaic pin, adding a touch of luxury.
Full-Tang Construction The blade's metal extends through the handle, allowing it to withstand demanding daily use without compromising its excellent handling and performance.
